The latest update includes support for Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) and for Mac OSX 10.6 (32 and 64 bit), along with other fixes. Opera and Safari browser users will need to manually tweak how the browsers handle acsm files, and Mac users must manually uninstall v1.7.1.
If you already have ADE installed, open the program and click on the “Upgrade Now” button to grab the latest version.
I just upgraded on my Mac running OSX 10.5.8 and did not have to uninstall 1.7.1 before I installed 1.7.2. It just worked.

Sorry if I was nebulous. You don’t have to uninstall it for the new version to work, but the old version will remain on your Mac until you manually uninstall it. On Windows, the installer automatically removes the old version.
