Privacy Policy

In February 2010, nookverse implemented OpenID for blog commentary. (Users may also comment by registering for an account at the nookverse forum and posted comments on the News board.) This allows users to log into a pre-existing account hosted off-site. Visitors who wish to comment must log into an OpenID account hosted by Facebook, Google, MyOpenID, OpenID, Twitter or Yahoo.

Nookverse uses a Word Press plugin created, administered and hosted by RPX for blog comments. We implemented RPX to reduce spam comments.

RPX acts as the middle-man or proxy and processes your requests to your host site. When you log into your host site, you are doing so on that site, not on nookverse or RPX. For example, in order to use your Google account, RPX sends a request to Google. You log into your Google account at Google.com, then come back to us through RPX. Neither nookverse nor RPX captures your account details.

You may choose to grant usage of your login to nookverse for one time or for a longer term, depending on your host account.

If you do not wish to use one of your hosted accounts, you may sign up for free accounts at either MyOpenID or OpenID.

For more information, please see the RPX Overview and OpenID.org.
